Ol Pejeta is a privately owned game reserve, overlooking the peaks of Mount Kenya. The conservancy has a great number of wildlife including all the big five animals (elephant, rhino, lion, leopard, and buffalo) among other game. This is the only tour that has the three in one.
Pick up from your hotel or airport and depart to Samburu National Reserve arriving in time for lunch. After lunch, proceed for an afternoon game drive.
Samburu is famous for the large concentration of wild animals and bird-life. It is home for the rare Northern-Kenya animal species (Gerenuk, Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Beisa Oryx and Somali Ostrich) which are not found in the other popular parks and reserves in Kenya. It is also home to all the African big cats (lion, cheetah and leopard), alongside other big game including buffaloes, warthogs, hippos, impala and water-buck. Samburu is a renowned bird watching haven, many bird species resident here. These include kingfisher, bee-eaters, tawny eagle, guinea-fowll, yellow throated spur-fowl, lilac-breasted roller, red-billed horn bill, secretary bird, Verreaux’s eagle, superb starling, yellow-billed hornbill and vultures. The unique culture of The Samburu tribe is the icing to cake for the amazing Samburu National Reserve.
Early morning game drive in the reserve. Later, return to the camp for breakfast. Rest of the mid-morning at relaxation. After lunch, proceed for an afternoon game drive in the reserve.
After an early morning breakfast proceed to have a brief game drive at Samburu reserve on your way out to Ol Pejeta conservancy. Here you will have a stopover at the equator crossing. This is an imaginary line that divides the earth into 2 hemispheres: north & south. You can take several photos then proceed with the journey and arrive in time for lunch. In the afternoon you will have a game viewing drive in the conservancy. Ol Pejeta is a privately owned conservancy, overlooking the peaks of Mt Kenya. The conservancy has a great number of wildlife including all the big five animals (elephant, rhino, lion, leopard, and buffalo) The conservancy also has a special sanctuary that shelters the rare and endangered species including black rhino, Grevy’s zebra, the Jackson’s hartebeest, and Chimpanzees. The Chimpanzee sanctuary is the only one in Kenya. It is a home for orphaned and abused chimpanzees, rehabilitating them to help them learn to live by themselves as in their own habitat.
Early morning breakfast and thereafter proceed for a morning game drive till around 11 am. Thereafter, check out with packed lunch to arrive Nairobi in the evening with drop off at your hotel or at the airport.
